Summer Camp Scholarships
Ensuring a Fun and Active Summer for Local Kids
Summer is often a stressful time for many of our families who struggle with the need to keep their children engaged in meaningful activities while they are at work.
Summer camp experiences allow children the opportunity to build confidence and independence, grow socially, unplug from technology, and most of all have fun!
Each year, because of the generosity of our neighbors, our families’ children attend Y camps, town recreation camps, and activity camps for sports and drama. Some attend special needs camps and summer school. All the children have safe, fun, and stimulating summer experiences.

Serving over 500 individuals
SSA provides food security and other critical assistance to over 500 individuals in our local community.
SSA serves Ridgewood, Glen Rock, Ho-Ho-Kus, Midland Park, Waldwick, & Wyckoff.
45 Percent are children
Our neighbors in need include single and two-parent families, the elderly, and the disabled. Their challenges include unemployment, underemployment, and life-changing illness or death. 45% of those we assist are children.
OVer 10 Local Programs
Programs include: Red Door food pantry, our voucher program, and supplemental services such as childcare stipends, rent & utility assistance, camp scholarships, Thanksgiving meals, and holiday gifts for children.
We are located at the Ridgewood Train Station, adjacent to the NJ Transit ticket office. Look for our red doors!
